Yesterday iLearning Global emailed its distributors to inform them that the network marketing arm of their business was to change from the network marketing business structure to a retail business structure.
What does this mean for the growing number of iLearning Global Distributors, the company, the people in influence and the network marketing industry?
The fall of a network marketing company or any business is never nice. People have dedicated a big portion of their daily life to growing a business only to have it pulled from under them and worse yet they have no control of this.
The iLearning Global Distributor
Is a person who loves to learn and really invest in their self development. They wanted to share the idea of ‘growing’ with as many people as they could and make a business out doing so. – Great Intent
They probably jumped in feet first, more focused on the quality content of the product instead of the stability and structure of the company.
Marketing away using all the various marketing methods, some free, some paid, old school and new school they were doing their bit to help others and build a business with a product they liked and enjoyed using themselves. -
Most put a lot of sweat, time and mastermind effort into their business, as they should do and my hat is off to each and everyone of them.
Some of them built up massive teams with huge downlines and a lot of willing eager reps. They achieved some great results and were making some good money.
Will they feel cheated by iLearning Global? Of course.
Do they have the right to be upset, disgruntled, p*ssed off? You bet your life they do.
Will this have a negative effect on their view of network marketing? Yes it will, especially the newbies.
Will feeling all this negativity make a difference? NO
So here is what I suggest they do.
Network Marketing Works – Believe That
The information shared in the iLearning Global products IS quality information which if applied in your life WILL benefit you greatly.
By creating a downline you would of built good working relationships with the people in it and they would trust you as a leader. Continue to work on these relationships, mastermind with your teams about a way forward! Look back on this unfortunate event only to learn from it.
Use the lessons learned and invest your time in positively seeking out a new business which you can join. Don’t let your efforts of gathering friends, business partners and mastermind alliances go to waste. Your list, you still own and it is very powerful!
Here are some things to considering when looking at new network marketing business – I got this information from Juanita Waterman. I think her research process and thinking is spot on. Thanks Juanita.
- Does the company management have personal experience building their own networking organization?
- Have they done it with Integrity?
- Search Google for the owners of the company.
- Do the owners have Integrity? (add the word ‘Scam’ to your search).
- Do the owners have a Corporate background or an in-the-field Network Marketing background?
- Read your “Policies & Procedures” and “Terms & Conditions”; both are part of your Legal Contract.
- Look for the word “Ongoing”.
- Look for policies that strike you as “Unreasonable”. Like “Termination, with or without cause”.
- Ask yourself “Does this contract protect me or the company?” “Is it clear which way it leans?”
- Does the company charge you for training or a company web site?
- Does the company charge you for each paycheck they send you?
Rules of Thumb:
- The longer the contract, the greater the possibility that the policies important to you are being hidden in “Legalese”!
- If it’s a “Cash Only” business…It’s a Scam!
- If you can buy a position at the top…It’s a Scam!
- If you are offered a “Special Deal”…the playing field isn’t level for all.
- If the products are sold on eBay at a greatly reduced price…Buy there instead.
- If a company is publicly traded, Financial Decisions Will be made in Favor of the Stockholders at the Expense of the Distributors.

A Warning To The Wise
The industry knows that there are now thousands of network marketers without a business to promote. If you are one of these unfortunate people be very weary of people trying to rush you into another opportunity it is going to happen!
Members of the ‘under-belly network marketing scam association’ are going to use this opportunity to pick your pocket. Be very weary of anyone that approaches you with a ‘guaranteed way to make money in 2 days’ type hype thing.
Always do your due diligence on any company, its owners, its history etc.
If in doubt ask about the person or the opportunity on BetterNetwork.com. Someone there will know all about it and they will keep you well informed.
iLearning Global The Company
I don’t know the people in control personally, but I have heard of some of the people who were very instrumental in the creation of it such as Brian Tracey and Bill Bartman.
Brian Tracey is still a great speaker, writer and inspirational leader. As is Bill Bartmen. The fall of the network marketing arm should not lie at their door completely. They are great business men with a great record of results behind them.
iLearning Global is a business. A business decision was made for the best outcome for the business. It was a tough decision I am sure but obviously one the directors thought needed to be made.
I am sure iLearning Global will go on to be a great retail business. It has been decided that the retail route is then best route for them to take. Their products are still great quality and they will still sell. This opens the door for some affiliate GPT money.
I wish them all the best for the future.
The Network Marketing Industry
This news will bring out the best in the better networkers and the worst in the worse networkers. As there are more ‘better networkers’ the network marketing indusrty will continue to grow and thrive.
iLearning Global wasn’t the first company to fall in therms of network marketing and they won’t be the last.
Those who want to succeed in this industry will still succeed if that is truly their desire! Those who want to give up and try other industries out or go back to the 9-5 I wish you well. The network marketing door is always open.
The Next Step
Onwards and Upwards. If you was in iLearning Global as a distributor and you still want to succeed in network marketing it can still happen for you.
I am here to help you. We can work out the next steps for you to take, figure out your options and get back on the success road.
Lets go do it. Fill out your name, email address and phone number below and we can get a conversation going.

I know that many distributors from iLearningGlobal won't let this affect them. Kudos to those that are quickly moving to another company that will continue to grow and develop, whatever it may be for them.
Talk soon,
Mike Paul
I'm sure there are a bunch of champions in that company that knew it was coming. If they didn't, a winner will always win!
Chat with you later…
Josh
You make a good point for those who are impacted to be weary because people approach these folks for their business opportunity. That is SOOOO wrong on so many levels.
Thankfully you have put this post out there for those to be cognisant of.
Jerome Ratliff
P.S. Looks like something is wrong with your TweetMeMe, it has a ? and I cannot retweet.
I heard about this as well, feel sorry for the people that built big teams only to see it gone over night.
I guess the true entrepreneurs will find a way forward.
Cheers for the post.
Wayne Vassell, signing out…
Good stuff
Eric
Its a shame, but as you say most of the distributors will find something else soon
Winners will take the lesson and improve their game
Tweet me has been playing up for 2 days now – very annoying
A business saver!
I hate to hear news like that. I was just looking into that company the other day, and even talked on the phone to a friend about it and said, you know, this is right up my alley for an addition to my streams of income. I do these things anyway, why not be a part of a company that teaches it.
Like Eric says below, it's so important to build your own YOU Inc.
Cheers, and have a great evening!
Ilka
You have done a great job of getting the message out there. This is good info for anyone looking for a network marketing company, since you touch on things to look out for, and to look for.
It's too bad this has happened. Way to reach out and lend a helping hand.
Good on ya Dwayne.
Susanna
You're totally right though, You Inc. is the only way to build a sustainable business for the long run because you never know what you're MLM's got planned and most (if not all) can revoke your business at the drop of a hat.
This actually happened to a friend of mine a couple of years ago. She complained to much to the leadership of a company and they shut her down. She's since found another company that fits much better even though she had already spent a great deal of time building a downline in the other one.
Like Josh said, a winner will always win. I'm sure there are lots of leaders and winners in iLearning Global that will land on their feet.
Carrie
The idea of the company and the product was good. Its a shame this had to happen, but life goes on, so its onto to the next one.
You Inc is the key. I know a lot of people who were involved who are lucky enough to have their list to rely on. Powerful stuff.
Thank you. I felt people needed to know. I have already seen PPC ads aimed at iLG reps promising a gizillion dollars in 2 days. Crazy!
Welcome back.
Winners win, that's what we do! There is always another way. With great information and network marketing friends to advise us, those who were affected can pick themselves up and go onto bigger things elsewhere.
I am glad your friend moved on and is now in something which she suits better.
