You have been doing your activity diligently for your business and you find that your getting leads into your MLM / Network Marketing sales funnel. Firstly, well done, that is exactly what is supposed to happen.

But what now? I hear you ask.

Its time to really connect with your lead. Get your MLM / Network Marketing Prospect on the phone, (it will increase your closure ratio).

  • What do you say?
  • How do you start the conversation?
  • When is the best time to call?
  • Where is the “Calling Network Marketing Prospects script”?
  • Do I like the script?
  • How do I overcome the nerves?

These questions and many more are going around in your head. I know, I have been there.

I would like to take this opportunity to apologise to the first set of leads which came into my business. Our first conversation was a disaster. I am very sorry for that. I was nervous and very unsure of what to say to you. But thank you for sticking with me! We now have great conversations.

Talking To Your MLM / Network Marketing Prospect On The Phone

Ok, so here is an outline of what works for me. I don’t believe in scripts, at the end of the day you have to be yourself. That’s the whole point to branding yourself. And your prospect became your prospect because you offered them something which was of value to them. They already like you, so don’t go changing now.

In my opinion the best time to call is between 18:00 – 20:00 their time on a week day. This is generally the time that they have finished work and are at home.

There are set things you need to find out from your prospect. The reality is you are interviewing this person to see if they are worthy of your time. I know that you want to get them signed up and off out making you residual income, but that is the wrong mindset to have. You need to have people in your business who are really passionate about achieving their goals and dreams. The stronger their passion the more commited and harder they will work. They will want to succeed just like you, and what you will find is that they wont be a drain on your time they will be a great bonus to your team.

Dwayne’s Check List Of What You Need To Find Out From Your MLM / Network Marketing Prospect.

  • What are they doing now, work wise.
  • WHY do they want to get into network marketing < Massively important question!
  • What do they want to get out of network marketing.
  • What problems (if any) they have come across so far.

This part of the conversation is where you shut up and really listen to the answers your prospects give. Each network marketing prospect is different, they come from different backgrounds and have varying experience (which is another reason why scripts don’t work). From their answers you will be able to ascertain whether or not they qualify to be on your team. If they are passionate about their WHY you will be able to tell, you will hear it in the tone of their voice and by the words they use to describe what their why is. Encourage them to think pass the money aspect, but don’t enforce your views upon them.

What You Need To Tell Your MLM / Network Marketing Prospect.

  • Briefly tell them about how you can help them and what areas you specialise in. They already know about you, so this part really needs to be brief. You just want to reassure them that they made the right choice in choosing you.
  • Tell them what you expect from people in your team. Remember you are their leader, so lead. Set the expectation.
  • Make sure they are aware of all your contact details. And give them an overview of what is going to happen next.

With this part of the conversation you need to be specific. Lay down the law to what you expect people in your team to do in order achieve their goals. Let them know your support is based upon their activity. They move, you move. They don’t move, you wont move.

As they are now in your sales funnel, make them aware briefly of what they will be receiving from you in the coming weeks. It’s very important that they have your contact details. Real go-getters will have questions to ask you. This is a good thing, it shows they are actively going through the process. If you are un-contactable they will find someone else who is!

Overcoming The Nerves

As I see it there is no cure for nerves, apart from just doing it. In the end I told my early prospects that I was new to the whole thing and they were my first leads. I reassured them that I knew what I was talking about, and that there were things I needed to know from them in order for both of us to proceed and progress. I believe in just being up-front and honest. It has work for me thus far and I wont be changing. No point in trying to be someone your not. You can still be a leader even if you have only been in the business for a week. As long as you know what your talking about and your willing to lead.

The more you do something the easier it becomes. I now have no problem jumping on the phone with prospects. I enjoy it, look forward to it. It’s a great way to make a real connection with people. Also keep in mind that your MLM / network marketing prospect will be happy to hear from you. They want you to call.
