There are tens of thousands of Network Marketing Blogs floating around the internet, branding the blog owner, providing value to its readers, getting people to opt-in onto their lists and selling products. This is the purpose of a network marketing blog / nerve center.
There are some amazing blogs out there and there are some not so amazing blogs out there but the reason why people have a blog is to communicate a message to the readers, provide information / value and encourage them to take action.
I read a lot of blogs, not all about network marketing but generally within the network marketing field. What tends to happen is people all end up sounding the same.
Now this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, for example, as you are aware Mike Dillard recently released What’s Working Now, his latest product. Thousands of blogs (including mine) wrote about the release, the product and Why You Should Get What’s Working Now.
The four reasons why everyone wrote about this are:
- To make the sale
- To show that they are up-to-date with current industry information
- To be affiliated with Mike and his products
- To give a fair valuable review of the product
My reasons are no different.
The question is.
“If we are all writing about the same thing, what makes Network Marketing Blog A different / better / worse than Network Marketing Blog B”?
The answer to that is simple. The person writing it!
You have some writers who literally copy almost word for word what another blogger has written. I know this as fact as I have seen my blog posts on other peoples blogs and not in a referring back to me kinda way! (Yes I know who you are!)
You have some bloggers who write a post weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. You have pro-bloggers who put content on their blog daily. I call them pro-bloggers because that is what they are to me. They are dedicated to their blog and are actively making it work on a daily basis.
Straight away you can see the mentality of the different groups of people and how they use their nerve centers. In my opinion the bloggers who are regularly up dating their blogs are the better blogs to follow. This does not mean you can’t find great value on lesser up dated blogs. It just means you will be getting more value more frequently. Would you not rather follow someone who was giving you value regularly?
Out of those who do up date daily or a few times a week the readership is down to how the people take to the content that is provided.
If someone wanted to find out about What’s Working Now, what would make that person come to my blog to find out over someone else’s blog?
This is where the branding comes into it. If my content is weak, flimsy, copied or just lacking in value people won’t come back, comment, recommend, Tweet, Digg, Facebook Share etc. My brand would be taking a serious hit and i will be getting ‘no love’ – Not a good place to be.
So to make a blog different, more valuable YOU have to give YOUR opinion, YOUR spin on things, YOUR experiences, YOUR recommendations etc. Some will like you some won’t that is a fact of life. Some will read your content and keep coming back for more, some won’t.
What I can guarantee you is this. If you are not you, you will eventually be found out and all that you tried to build will be gone in an instant – Bad news travels real fast, especially online!
You can get a good feel for who someone is from reading their authentic (regularly up dated) blog. This is why you are attracted to them. This is why you trust them and this is why you buy from them. This is the power of a network marketing blog.

To make your blog different, stand out, individual, valuable etc, JUST BE YOU!

Quality and consistency are what I look for in a blog. Like you said pro bloggers are who are going to get the play. It is almost like if you are used to reading the paper everyday and it does not get delivered you are pretty upset and feel like a part of your day has been taken from you. Even if you don't read it every day it's a comfort to know it is sitting on the porch. That is the power of personal branding that should never be underestimated. You know what is funny about the people copying your stuff without credit to you Dwayne? It would actually give them more credibility if they sited you showing they are in touch, well read and have integrity. All which will lead to folks having confidence to purchase from them. I have no data on this but I'll bet those people, in the long run, will become non producers. so you just have to wait it out and get the last laugh.

Hey Dwayne,
This is great! I saw just about everyone writing about WWN in the last couple days. I didn't want to go that route. However, I did promote WWN through e-mail marketing. I do have a banner ad for WWN on my blog. When you look, smell, and taste the same as everyone else. How are you different?
There are pro bloggers who do give credit for the work that is being done. My hats off to them. I'll just continue to provide quality information and that is one reason why I'm going more into the video posting instead of writing. It is a little hard to duplicate me through video.
Chat with you later…
Josh
You said it right Dwayne, separating yourself from everyone else IS important.
I definitely feel it's critical to do this so people know who they are dealing with and if they are remotely interested in how you do things, they know this upfront how you differ.
Providing the value benefit, with the most integrity gives you the advantage.
This is why I always like reading your blog, versus some of the others who don't provide such great benefit like I get from here.
Keep up the great work, you're making a difference and standing out above everyone else.
Jerome Ratliff
Hey Dwayne,
I'm loving it.
My two cents…
Personality and value.
The deadly duo… but… I guess you could say a lot of things make for a “killer” blog.
Keep up the awesomeness.
Hi Dwayne,
Awesome post! I like to read and subscribe to blogs that are an easy read, draw me in, teach me something, and give me some great information. Like yours
I always come away with some golden nuggets when I visit your blog or the others I follow.
I like to do the same on my own blog. I want to give my readers great value and a good reason to come back.
Have a blessed day!
Ilka
Dwayne, this is winning content here! I love your point about “pro-bloggers” – You know what, it takes a lot of dedication to update a blog daily and churn out valuable posts back to back!
I know, because I am living it, of course some days you feel like you do not want to write, but the “pro-blogger” will still turn up and get the content out there.
I can see you are not just talking but you doing, so keep on “doing” brother! I look forward to your next update!
As usual, another great commentary from you. One thing that separates you from the crowd is that you continually provide thoughtful, insightful information. It isn't always “sell, sell, sell”. I've not yet started my own blog, but it's on the near horizon. And if I should quote you occasionally, it will be precisely that: a quote. With full attribution. You are a true leader, one who delivers more than he promises. I can only hope that my own efforts will reflect the same values. Thank you once again.
Man you hit this one on the head. There are a ton of blogs that look like they all swap content weekly or monthly. You have to write your posts in a way that it captivates the readers and answers some of their pressing questions.
Awesome stuff,
Eric
Hey Richard
Thank you for you input. I like the way you look at it “like reading a newspaper” and reliable.
Thank you also for your support.
I feel like I am having the last laugh now
Hey Josh
The only difference we can offer is ourselves. You are doing a great job with your blog. You first couple of videos are great.
Jerome. Thank you sir. Means a lot.
I am not trying to be different I am just being me. I think this simple point is what people miss in their attempt to impress. By being me (and only I can be me), this is what creates the difference.
Hey J
Always an honor to have you pass by.
Personality and value is exactly what I learned from you and I apply everyday.
Thank you for your $0.02, it was well spent.
Ilka
When I write a post I have in my head, “would I read this” if the answer is no, I don't write it.
I know on some blogs they just want to get the info out there they don't pay attention to how it reads. If it doesnt engage the reader the best info in the world will fall on the BACK button!
You have a great blog, I have said it before but definitely worth saying again.
Hey Wayne
It definitely takes a lot to maintain a good quality blog as you well know but well worth doing.
The key to it all is to just DO IT
Hey Ben
Welcome to my online world comment arena.
Good luck with your blog, when you do start, please let me know your link.
Thank you for your kind and encouraging words. I really appreciate it.
Hey Eric
Thank you for passing.
Captivation and giving the reader what they want is a sure fire way to keep them coming back.
Quality as usual, Dwayne,
I can't believe you've found people copying your work with no credit!
I haven't noticed this happen to me yet… Maybe I'm not worth copying (LOL)
Hey Derek
I'm sure if you look hard enough you will find someone. I just don't recommend wasting your time looking. I found the people copying me by accident.
Thank you, Dwayne, for your kind words!
Hey Dwayne,
I really like the “Some will like you some won’t that is a fact of life” part,
You can't be all things to all people, and trying will just slow you down.
Great post mate,
Matt

Dwayne,
I see this all of the time. It's funny how I write about something and I see someone has posted the same topic and 9 out of 10, I will not even post my blog. I may spin it into a video and of course it's my own material. I like the way you broke everything down into different types of bloggers.
If you are sending out value everyday, bring it on.
If you get second, come by, I gave you a shout on my last post. Well deserved.
Have a great night, GO WEST HAM!
Tommy D.
Hey Matt
The more we know and realize the facts the easier it is to not worry about why things are the way they are.
Hey Tommy
Thanks for the mention in your post. I appreciate it.
I'm not overly fussed about people coping me, I let them do them. I am doing me.
Have a great weekend
Hey Dwayne,
I love your blog. I know I'll get great value, and my interest will be held the entire way through your articles.
What keeps me coming back to some of my favorite blogs is not only the great content, but the amazing interaction with other like minded people.
It's almost like meeting around the water cooler and having a chat. I keep coming back to some for the content, as well as the interaction.
The ones who don't comment back aren't as fun to visit. It's like having a guest over and not saying a word to them.
Thanks for another great post Dwayne!
Have a great weekend!
Susanna
Hey Susanna
I saw this comment late.
