Happy Monday. I hope you had a great weekend.
Have you thought about what you want to get from this week?
If you haven’t make time to really think about what you want to achieve this week. What are you going to do to make this week more successful than last week?
————————————————————————————————————————————
As you know your mind is a very powerful tool. I am sure that you are also aware that you have two states of mind the conscious and the subconscious.
The Power Of The Mind
Unfortunately for us our subconscious is much more powerful than our conscious.
Try not to think of the colour blue right now. Bet you couldn’t, blue came into your mind didn’t it?
That was your subconscious returning you a pre-condition thought!
Our subconscious is what controls our habits, forms our dreams and many other things which we don’t think about on a constant basis. As our subconscious gathers these thoughts without us being aware that it is happening, our actions and instincts are governed by these thoughts.
Our subconscious is formed from years of conditioning from external sources. E.g. if you were told you were useless from the time you were born until now, you will feel and think that you are indeed useless. Your actions will be of someone who has no self worth!
Fortunately for us we are ultimately in control of both our states of mind. We can train / re-condition our subconscious to think what we want it to think and therefore we will act in the ways we want to act instinctively.
Now there are many ways to do this and I am sure I will go through some of the other ways at a later stage but here is a great way to ‘re-condition’ the mind into thinking the ways we want it to think.
Network Marketing Tip: Use Quotes
There are many great minds all around us, sharing what they have learned and experienced with the world. Its a fact that we only retain some of what we learn. Inevitably there will be golden nuggets left on the table that we heard but didn’t retain.
The good thing is when we hear these speakers, leaders, teachers talk we feel inspired, motivated and energized. The best way to capture that feeling so that we can best use the teachings and feel the motivation and inspiration on demand is by remembering quotes from these teachers.
By recalling one quote on a topic which motivated you, you will feel the same feeling that you felt when you were first listening / reading to the teachings.
A quote from Jim Rohn that keeps me focused and motivated daily is;
“Work harder on yourself than you do on your job. Working hard on your job will provide you with a living, working hard on yourself will provide you with a fortune.”
This is just one quote which I have in my head daily. I see this quote everywhere I go. Its on my computer desktop, its on my phone’s wallpaper. I have it written on my bathroom door.
Because I see this quote everywhere whenever I feel like not doing something which I should be doing this quote pops into my head. My subconscious gives my conscious a nudge reminding me that I need to fulfill the task at hand if I want to get my fortunes!
This really works, and that was just from one quote. There are many quotes which I use to keep me inspired and motivated, here are some of them.
From Jim Rohn
- Profits are better than wages.
- Don’t wish it were easier, wish you were better.
- Either you run the day or the day runs you.
- Success is doing ordinary things extraordinarily well.
From Napoleon Hill
- A goal is a dream with a deadline.
- All the breaks you need in life wait within your imagination, Imagination is the workshop of your mind, capable of turning mind energy into accomplishment and wealth.
- Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire and begin at once, whether you ready or not, to put this plan into action.
- Don’t wait. The time will never be just right.
- Every person who wins in any undertaking must be willing to cut all sources of retreat. Only by doing so can one be sure of maintaining that state of mind known as a burning desire to win – essential to success.
From Zig Ziglar
- I believe that being successful means having a balance of success stories across the many areas of your life. You can’t truly be considered successful in your business life if your home life is in shambles.
- If you can dream it, then you can achieve it. You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want.
- If you learn from defeat, you haven’t really lost.
- It’s not what you’ve got, it’s what you use that makes a difference.
- Money isn’t the most important thing in life, but it’s reasonably close to oxygen on the “gotta have it” scale.
From Einstein
- A man should look for what is, and not for what he thinks should be.
- A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.
- Any man who reads too much and uses his own brain too little falls into lazy habits of thinking.
From Winston Churchill
- The truth is incontrovertible, malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end; there it is.
From Barack Obama
- Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.
I am sure you have your have your own selection of quotes which you use or can use. I’d love to hear them, share them with me in the comment box below.
I am not saying you have to re-decorate your whole house or office with quotes (unless you want to of course). What I am saying is to ‘re-condition’ your mind to search for inspiration in the forms of quotes which you can relate to in the times of need. Have these quotes visible to you daily so that your subconscious will take in the positive message.
If you subconscious has nothing positive to reach for procrastination or other non-productive evil will take its place and you won’t do what you need to do to get to where you need to get to. Don’t let that happen, give yourself a fighting chance against things which are set to hold you back
It is YOUR mind which you can re-condition in whatever way you choose. Show it what you want it to see. Act as you want to act!

Hey Dwayne,
I love to recondition my mind. I go through certain patterns to accomplish anything that I want to by reprogramming my subconscious mind.
I have so many great quotes, “You'll always have everything in life that you want, if you'll help enough other people get what they want.” – Zig Ziglar
Chat with you later…
Josh
Hey Twila
Nice quote, thanks for sharing.
I like to start the week on a high with a view to end it even higher!
Re-conditioning is essential, over time we consume so much pointless rubbish which lead us nowhere.
Zig has so many great quotes. I could of made this who post about him
Thanks for getting me off to a great start this week, Dwayne! I love your quotes. There are some I hadn't heard so I copied them into my quotes collection.
One of my favorites is by Ralph Waldo Emerson … “A mind once expanded can never shrink back to its original state.”
Thanks for always teaching me something new!
Have a great week!
Ilka
I like how you look at Mondays Dwayne. Very Cheerful! That's Awesome!
You picked some of my favorite quotes there, Jim Rohn, Napoleon Hill. They know there stuff, that's for sure. I learned a lot from those guys.
It's really a great tip any network marketer can use in their business to help them move along.
Jerome Ratliff
“Profits Are Better Than Wages” – That is my best quote right there my friend! and Jim Rohn put it across so well.
Thanks for the great post Dwayne.
Wayne Vassell, Signing out…
Hey Ilka
That is a great quote which I have heard before, thank you for sharing.
Glad you week is off to a great start.
Monday is the key day, get that right and it sets the pace for the rest of the week.
Thanks for passing by Jerome
5 little words that changed my life!
Dwayne,
Agree 100% with all the quotes you have mentioned, thanks for the handy list, need to add a few.
Another great book has many many awesome quotes and one of my favourites is “As a man thinks, so is he”
Sorta encompasses everything you were mentioning regarding the conscious and subconscious mind.
Have an awesome day buddy
Hi Dwayne,
I like Jim Rohn and am starting to let go of my good friend – or rather enemy – “procrastination”. I like “profits are better than wages” and his saying that broke equates to “too much month at the end of the month”.
Hey Peter
Thanks for passing by.
As a man thinks, so is he – is a classic quote. Shows how powerful thought can be.
Lisa
Jim is the man. glad to hear you are letting go of procrastination.
Too much month at the end of the money is a great way of saying “I'm broke!”
Here's something I like to say,
“If you tell your mind you can do it, it will act accordingly”
and of course
“pain is weakness leaving your body”
Those two got me through some hard times. You have some great stuff hear. Aside from the quotes, these are good solid ideas for changing your mindset. It took more dedication and determination for me to do this than I thought I was capable of.
I learned a very valuable lesson in the process.
No one can tell me that there are things that others can do and they can not. Only that there are things that others can do and they will not.
This post makes my quote collection.
Thanks Dwayne.
Hey Chris
Powerful phrases. I can see how they would of helped you in the situations which you must of been in.
Thanks for passing by
Hey Dwayne!
Great way to start a day!
Our brains are fascinating. Thanks for sharing that little tid bit on thoughts.
Those are some great quotes.
Hmm… wall paper idea…
I love quotes so I'll share one of my favorites.
You cannot dream yourself into a character: you must hammer and forge yourself into one.
Henry D. Thoreau
Have a wonderful week!
Susanna
Hey Susanna
Thank you I love quotes, they can really transport you to the place that you need to be.
That's a good quote from Henry. I will add that to my list. Thanks
Thanks for the refreshing read on quotes Dwayne =) You can never have too many quotes to help keep you inspired and focused.
Good quotes inspire a great feeling. Why not have the great feeling all the time, subconsciously!
