Know Yourself Better. Have A Better Network Marketing Business

in Network Marketing,Personal Development

What Do I Really Want?

What do you really want?

I mean really. What is it?

What is going to define your life and allow you to have complete inner peace?

Is your network marketing business going to provide it for you?

I understand that these questions may take a lot of thought, but its definitely worth finding the answers.

I don’t think its material things. I don’t think its an overflowing bank account and I don’t think its luxuries in excess.

Here is what I think people really want in their lives.

Balance

Our lives can be hectic. We have many different important areas in our lives (generally about 6 areas) which we want to give our attention to, but due to the way our lives currently are we tend to heavily focus on only two areas of our lives. This leaves us feeling unfulfilled.

This unfulfilled feeling has us working harder, longer and moving further away from where we actually want to be. Its like trying to carry water in a sieve, the more the water seeps out the more we keep trying to fill it.

The 6 areas are

  • Family & Home
  • Financial & Career
  • Mental & Educational
  • Physical & Health
  • Social & Cultural
  • Spiritual & Ethical

As you can imagine and most probably testify to in your own life, we only ‘have time’ for 2 of these areas, 3 at a push. Which leaves a massive 50-75% whole in our life. That is a lot!

Yes we prioritize the areas which are most important to us, but fulfilling the other areas and having a balanced life is what truly completes us. So I think people are consciously or subconsciously striving for balance.

Balance is not easy to achieve. How much time should you spend away from your business and with your family?

How much time should you spend developing yourself mentally. Would that time be better spent looking after your health?

Should you be spending time with your friends or should you be getting some spiritual guidance?

Its not easy answering these questions, yet if we found away to balance it all out our live will be dramatically changed for the good.

Our businesses will flourish because we will be in a better state to work on it. We will be more open to creative thoughts and we will be working guilt free.

Simplicity

No one wants a complicated life and life isn’t that complicated.

When difficult situations come up in our lives we generally know the best way to deal with the situation, so the solution isn’t complex. The difficulty lies in applying the solution and sticking to it.

People who want to lose weight know what they have to do to lose the weight. Its actually doing it is where the problem lies.

To aid us in our lives we the ruling species on the plant have come up with ways to make our lives easier and more efficient.

  • Instead of walking for miles, we have the car.
  • Instead of spending hours washing our clothes we have the washing machines.
  • Instead of cooking our food we can nuke it in a mircowave.

This list can go on forever, but you get the general idea. We have created ways to make our life simpler.

So why doesn’t our life feel simple?

The reality is all these things just SPEED up the process. Which is what they were designed for. This in theroy should leave us with spare time.

What do we do with the ‘spare’ time we now have?

We do more stuff, we become more productive. We devote less time to balancing out our lives and more time trying to fill our sieves with water.

Life is simple. Its us who make it hard.

Success & Recognition

We all want to be successful. Even the most down and out bum on the street wants to be successful, they just can’t be bother to be all they can be.

Success doesn’t have one definition. What success is to me may be different to you, but the feeling of success is the same and the way in which it is acquired is the same.

Successes feels great, amazing, life changing, euphoric.

Success is achieved by doing what the unsuccessful doesn’t do (another example of how simple life is).

Once we have success we want to be recognized for it. We can enjoy success on our own, but it feels better shared and even better when it has been recognized by others.

When I get recognition for the value I share it feel amazing. I am sure you can also testify to this.

Recognition of success is the backbone to a successful network marketing business. People want to be acknowledged for their efforts.

Be More Effective

We want to positively effect others.

If I can help you become successful it means I have add value to your life, this is a great reward.

If I can be a role model to many it will be an out of this world feeling. One day I am going to ask Mike Dillard how he feels being a big reason for so many successful businesses. He is the perfect example of being more effective.

It also works on a smaller scale. The way we can influence the people closest to us, our family, friends, business partners. If we can make their lives better we are being more effective.

Inner Peace

These four things will lead to inner peace. Our souls will be filled and our lives will be great.

Can this be achieved?

Of course it can.

The better question is will you do what is necessary to achieve this lifestyle and get what you really want?

The Network Marketing Business Vehicle

I see my network marketing business as a vehicle to the lifestyle I want.

As my business takes up a lot of my time I actively looked for a company which suited my character. A company which will allow me to positively effective peoples lives and whilst increasing my wealth.

I use my network marketing vehicle to fulfill as many parts of my wants as possible. This reduces the feeling of guilt when I can’t spend as much time on the other important parts of my life.

I still love the way the universe puts everything in place as soon as you start doing the right things in your life. The universal law responds to your actions and rewards you accordingly for them.

Remember! A successful person is willing to do that which the unsuccessful is not willing to do.

This is how you get the things in life and business that you really want.

Hey Dwayne,

This is a must read for anyone who is looking at building a successful business.

Many times people think that just because they are involved with a great company success is going to fall on their lap. You put it into perspective, What are you willing to give up to achieve a life that only 3-5% live? It's not about being comfortable. It's about putting yourself in a position to win and sometimes that mean being uncomfortable for a bit.

Chat with you later…

Hey Dwayne,

Deep stuff man. I can see that you are comfortably sliding into position with your new business. It must be a great change for you to have found what you were looking for.

I love the thought process you go through when reading this. It makes you realize where you fall short. I always stick to God, Family, business in that order. I would say that the place I lack the most attention would be the social/cultural avenue. Recently I have been working on that, and filled a hole in my life with 6 great new friends. Now my business is tied into my social/cultural aspects and I am obtaining balance.

Still work to do on it, but things are really looking great right now.

Thanks for making me think. I love this kind of material.

“I'd rather sit on a pumpkin then be crowded on a velvet pillow.” Pepple make things way to difficult for themselves and end up achieving nothing.

Yeah, that is a good point, “A successful person is willing to do that which the unsuccessful is not willing to do” – unfortunately when people find out what is “really” required to get the success, they run for the hills!

Great post, and well put across Dwayne.

What a great question. A question I had to ask myself many, many times before I finally understood what it was.
What a relief it was once I made that revelation.

Thanks for laying out so beautifully. It really puts it into perspective for what people really want.

Great post once again, Dwayne!

I especially like the quote, “A successful person is willing to do that which the unsuccessful is not willing to do.”

A funny way I look at it is this:
“I'm the laziest person on the face of the earth — that's why I'm working so hard to make life easier” ;)

Hey Josh

When I was writing this post I was wondering if anyone would really see where I was coming from. I know its not difficult but there are some people who don't look past the material and financial gains to the real things which makes life worth living.

I am glad it was visible to you guys. Its is so much easier to plan for the future when you know exactly what you want.

Hey Chris

The more I grow and progress in my business the more I realize the reason for my growth and growing success is because I am learning more and more about myself. I try to relay this where I can, put my thought process down for all to read.

I am happy that people like you take the time to come here and read my thoughts. Thank you

Hey Richard

Is that your line? Can I use it and quote you?
Your right people do make things hard for themselves. Life is simple.

Hey Wayne

People fear what they don't understand and would prefer to live the long term pain of failure instead of the short term pain of discipline towards success.

Hey Jerome

We are lost if we don't know the answer to that question. We even more worse off if we don't seek the answer.

I think people like to over complicate things which clouds the view of what life can really offer.

Dwayne,
Really great post! It is very easy for people to get off balance and stay focused on the wrong things. Balance is key in life.
